Dear Esteemed Patient,

After 28 years of dedicated service to the Ottawa dental community, I am writing to inform you of an important change to our practice. The office building is scheduled for demolition and redevelopment into a high-rise complex.  Consequently, I have decided to align the closure of our practice with my retirement in the summer of 2025.  Prosthodontic services will continue with Dr. Maiko Sakai on Cecil Ave. Ottawa

We understand that this news may raise concerns, and we are here to support you during this transition. Our goal is to complete as many planned dental treatments as possible before our practice closes on July 15, 2025.

For patients requiring ongoing treatment beyond this date, we are pleased to offer the following options:

-Transfer of Prosthodontic treatment to Dr. Maiko Sakai:  Dr. Sakai, my trusted colleague for many years will be available for continuing care at CLASSIC PROSTHODONTICS ( www.classicprostho.ca ), at 1175 Cecil Ave, Ottawa (near Bank and Heron Rd.).

-Referral to another Prosthodontist in Ottawa:  We can arrange a referral to another prosthodontist in the Ottawa area to ensure continuity of your treatment.

-Transfer of dental and oral hygiene care:  For those needing a new general dentist, our reception staff can provide a list of dental offices in Ottawa to assist you.

-Access to your dental records:  We can provide copies of your dental files or x-rays upon request to facilitate your ongoing care. Please contact the office of Dr. Sakai at 613-233-2787 or admin@ottawasmile.com
