Case 2 - Before -Single Anterior Implant

A front tooth was lost due to trauma. At this stage the implant is ready to be restored with a crown. The titanium post is called a Healing Abutment. It provides access to the implant which is located a few millimeters inside the gum tissue. Unscrewing this abutment is necessary to construct and install the new single tooth crown. The patient usually wears small, removable tooth that fits over the metal post. This "temporary" device is worn during the healing period of the implant.
